Copper, Zinc, Silver, Cobalt
Field work completed in Phase 1 of the diamond drilling program included: borehole geophysical surveying, exploration diamond drilling, and interest to re-enter the underground mine workings.
Logan Drilling has completed 7 drill holes, totalling 1,222 meters. Phase 1 diamond drilling program was designed to confirm historical drilling results and reported grades for known lens of massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization, primarily within the ‘A’ and ‘D’ zones.
Phase 2 exploration program is currently underway with a continued diamond drilling program of 28 proposed holes totalling 4,325 meters. The focus is also on gaining access to the 400-level adit, and possibly testing a new massive sulphide target at the No 4 Brook showing.
No.4 Brook adit
The field crew is currently channel sampling the 15 metres of sheared semi-massive and massive sulphide mineralization exposed immediately adjacent to the No. 4 Brook adit, situated 1 km west of the Phase 2 drilling area and the former York Harbour Mine.
In addition to the field work, the Company is currently investigating the use of a lidar-equipped drone, either ground-ambulatory or aerial, to survey the 400 Level adit this field season. The results of such a survey would be valuable for both identifying the condition of the adit for an ongoing application to permit the entry of the adit and to survey its dimensions for later drill hole placement.
